My Life at Wartime in Iraq

This is the last book I read; Its no bestseller but these days I am hooked on to autobiographical book..This book in particular is an account of a 20 year old Iraqi girl and how her life was affected by invasion of American and British troops. This is no literary masterpiece.. there are no ornamented words..no deeper meaning..its just an English translation of a girls diary originally written in Arabic..and this is the beauty of this book ..the pain, anguish, anxiety, helplessness of the war affected people do not get lost in the heavy words...With each page of the book, away from the nuances of politics of war, I was able to see how the lives of innocent people are shattered ..and the damage remains even when the war is done and dusted..It gives me all the more goosebumps ,that there can be a time when I may be blogging about the same accounts given the turmoil in south Asia..Only I wish I never fall in this line..amen!!!
