House Parties

I have alwz preferred house parties over outdoor ones..they r more relaxing, comforting and has more of a friendly touch...until i gt married i use to jus "help" my mother in settin up d table, decorating d home n smething here n there..bt aftr marriage i have realized how much preparation to a stressful limit goes into it..deciding the menu, doing d groceries, keeping d hme in an impressive shape n finally cookin n cookin...why don jus go out together..order, chat n njoy?? bt i must say all d efforts which goes in pays off wen guests appreciate and enjoys d delicacies ...with each such party u do become a better cook..nd  I think cookin is one of the most attractive skill..in recent times there have been lot of variations and innovations that have cme to associate with House parties such as theme based parties, barbeque's, potluck...!!!! Each of them has it's own fun element.

But, These parties could be boring if you end up getting invited or you invite a bunch of people who can't talk about anything else except about their kids. Don't get be wrong, I love kids and absolutely adore them but I cannot listen to a non-stop 24/7 broadcast of  kid's daily activities. It exhaust me seriously and what's even more exhausting is when you have to not only partake but also contribute. To give an impression that you are interested fill in with "How cute", "How Lovely", "Awwwww", "All Kids are like that", "ohh so beautiful", "Very smart", "Child is genius", "I like that".

Well not sure if i would end up myself being such a parent :)
